A Word About Life and Things

A Little Faith

What is Faith? In my lifetime I have done more than 1000 projects. Each and every project I saw finished in my mind’s eye, and just about every project turned out the way I saw it. Faith is seeing our prayers answered. We see our healing; we see our bills paid and we see our kids serving the Lord. Paul said ‘faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Jesus said ”whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt but Believes, he will have it ’.  Jesus was talking about the mountains in our lives. Some of our mountains are small, like molehills. Some are very large, like a big mountain. When the doctor says that we have cancer, that is a big mountain but we do not have to accept everything that someone says to us or about us.

There was an orphanage in Japan that was close to an ocean, but the view was blocked by a mountain. The kids of the orphanage took Jesus’ words literally and prayed and asked God to remove the mountain that was blocking their view. The government of Japan was going to build an airport but there was not enough land available and they decided to build it in the sea. They got the landfill for that project from the mountain that was blocking the view of the orphanage.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The largest seed in the world is from the coc de mer palm tree and is located only in the Seychelles islands off the coast of Africa. The seeds can grow to about 50 pounds. Jesus said that if we have the faith of a mustard seed we can move the mountain out of the way. A mustard seed is the smallest seed known to man. We just need a little faith.
