The Middle
Sometimes the hardest part of our lives is to live
in the middle part of our daily living. When Joseph
had a dream that his family would bow down to him,
that was a high point in his life. But then he had
the everyday life that he went back to. Then he
spent 13 years in jail. That was the middle part of
his life before he rose to be Prime Minister of
Egypt.
David was anointed to be King as a teenager, afterwards, he went back to tending sheep. Then he killed a giant but he had to go into hiding from King Saul. For 13 years he had to live in the middle of his destiny. Moses spent 40 years in the desert. We see the men and women in the Bible doing great things, but what we see are just the highlights of their lives. We do not see the everyday lives or the things that they go through. We all have dreams, or God tells us of something that will happen in our future. The hardest part is living from day to day. We are in the middle part of our lives and the thing that God told us He was going to do has not come to pass yet. We go to work, we come home, we eat supper, go to bed and get up the next day and do it all over again, and again, and again. We become bored with our lives and wonder if God has forgotten us. The middle part of our lives is the testing part. Will we honor God? Will we do what we are supposed to do? Are we faithful to our spouse? There are many things that we go through. We are being tested and God is watching us to see if we will trust Him. Then we will see God move in our lives and we will receive what God has for us to do. The middle part will pass and we will come into what God has for us. ––––––––––––––––––––––––– New King James Version Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. |
