Gifts and Talents

         There are times in our lives that we are not hearing from God. We want His leading in our lives but we are not hearing anything. There are many reasons why we are not hearing anything. It can be the pride of life, it could be the busyness of our lives, and many other things. The truth is that this is the time that this generation is living in the last days. Our enemy is filling our lives with anything and everything that will distract us in any way that he can. He has overloaded our lives with things to do. There are so many ways to go that we cannot hear what God is saying.

      The first thing we need to do is to look at our lives to see if there is any pride. Pride can come from many things in our lives. The money we make, the house we live in, the abilities that we have, and a thousand other things. Pride was the first sin. We need to humble ourselves before God and give Him the glory.

      The second thing is the busyness of our lives. We have so many things that we are doing and we keep our kids busy also. They have school all day, and practice after school, then do homework at night. We kept ourselves busy also. We have our work, then we go to the gym, then go to our club at night. We are so busy that we do not have time for God.

      If we want more of the Lord, we need to make more time for Him. We humble ourselves to our elders and to God. We get more of God’s word into our minds and hearts. We honor Him then He will honor us. We humble ourselves and submit to His will. Then He will talk to us and lead us in the way that we should go.
