A Word About Life and Things

We all like movies, reading books, sports
activities, and many other things that we do. Most
movies and books have maybe four plots In them not
counting Sci-Fi. The four plots are; Murder
Mysteries, War, Westerns, and Love stories. The
older Murder Mysteries like Perry Mason, Agatha
Christie’s Miss Marple, and Poirot never showed
blood in their movies. Today just about every movie
shows a lot of blood and mayhem. And it is getting
worse with heads being blown off and more. There are
some movies and books that we should not see. Yes,
we can go and see a War movie and Murder Mysteries
and some Westerns with all the mayhem and gore. But
what is it doing to our spirit? Some Halloween
Movies we should never see.
When we are trying to get closer to God we need to listen to Him. We cannot hear Him when we are filling our lives with mayhem and gore. His voice is a small whisper that we need a calm spirit to hear. We cannot hear Him when our lives are filled with what is in some books and movies. There are some things we need to give up when we are trying to hear what He is trying to say to us. If we WANT to hear what God is trying to tell us we need to stop some things and start to listen to Him.
