A Word About Life and Things

I Am Your Father

There was a lady that had searched for her biological father for 20 years. She worked at an Exxon station. One night a homeless man came in and asked her to check his food stamp card, to see how much money was left on it. She thought the man was just another gentleman on the streets coming in, but when she saw his name she asked him what his middle name was. He said ‘Eugene’. She dropped to her knees and said ‘you are may biological father.’ I have been looking for you for over 20 years. The man was amazed. They were both shaking.

We all have an earthly father who provided what we look like as well as a mother who contributed her part to our genes. What we are on the inside did not come from our parents. Our parents did not give us life. Our life came from our Heavenly Father. Upon conception, our Heavenly Father gave us a spirit that will never die. Our bodies will die, but the part of us that is a spirit will never die. Our God is a Master at making things as well as us humans. When He created the stars and the different galaxies, as well as the animals and trees and everything on the earth, He said it was good. When God created the first human (Adam) he said that it was very good.

Mankind cannot create life. Only God can create life. He has created every living thing on this earth. When we die a physical death our bodies go back to the earth , but our spirits go back to God who gave it. He is our Father. Our spirit will stand before our Father and give an account for what we did on this earth. That is why we need to seek Him while we are in our earthly bodies. God said that if we seek Him He will be found. Our God is a gracious God, who will never force us to do anything. He just asks us to come. To come to Him we have to go to Jesus first, because God offered Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins. If we ask Jesus to forgive us, He will. When we put our trust in Him, we believe that He died for our sins and He rose from the grave. Then we can go into the presence of God, our one and only Father.
