A Word About Life and Things

Eternity

Most people have insurance on their cars, in case of an accident. They also have insurance on their house, in case of a fire. We make our plans in life. We even plan for our retirement. We save as much money as we can. We have our 401K, and maybe some have other investments. We even plan for our death. We buy a plot of ground and maybe a casket.

Most people do not plan for the most important thing in their lives, and that is Eternity. When God made us He did a great job. Our spirits will never die. We will be here 100 million years from now, and that is just the start of Eternity. Where are you going to spend Eternity? We have a choice for it to be in Heaven or Hell. Every one of us has a spirit that was given to us by God, our creator at the time of conception. A lot of people think that if they are good enough, or give enough money to worthy causes that God will let them into Heaven. That is not so. God does not decide whether or or not that we go to Heaven or Hell. WE are the ones who decide whether or not that we get into Heaven or spend an Eternity in Hell. To not make a decision is the same as making one, because you have to decide to go to Heaven. The other option is Hell. So in not making a decision to go to Heaven you have decided to go to Hell.

God is a gentleman and will not force anyone of us to do anything. God has given everyone a freewill. We have a say in what we will do or not do. Even the Angels in Heaven have a freewill to serve God or not. Lucifer was an Angel in Heaven. he decided to lift himself up above God and sinned against God. He was cast out of Heaven along with one third of the Angels before man was on this earth. Satan is not like God. He will temp us to sin and will do anything to get us to go with him to Hell.

Where would you like to spend Eternity? Eternity is forever, it is never-ending. There are no days and nights and no clocks in Eternity. Heaven and Hell are places that each one of us will serve our spiritual life. Hell was made for satan and his followers. Which one do you want?

Like the man who asked Jesus “what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” God has said that we are born in sin. It is not what did we do, the fact is we are sinners from birth. We needed a savior. That is the reason that Jesus gave up His throne and came to earth and lived like a man. He did not sin. When He went to the cross He was the Sacrifice that paid the price for our sins. He rose from the grave three days later and He sits next to the Father in Heaven. God does not force us to accept Jesus as a Savior. He just says whosoever will may come. There is no other way into Heaven. Jesus is our Savior and he is our advocate to the Father.

You can have the assurance that you are going to Heaven today. We just ask Jesus to forgive our sins and believe that He rose from the grave, and ask him to come into our hearts, and he will forgive us. There are no sins that Jesus cannot forgive. He is our Savior.
