A Word About Life and Things

Look Up

Israel had sinned, again. They complained against God and Moses. God sent serpents into the camp and many people were bitten and many died. They went to Moses and asked him to pray for them. God told Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a high pole and when any one was bitten they could look up at that bronze serpent and they would be healed.

Jesus said that as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man must be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

The enemy is always trying to get us down. We have many trials and temptations. We have a bad day, we lose a loved one, we are not treated right on our job. There are many things that come against us. The enemy would like to see us with depression and our heads hanging low. We want to give up. We hate our life. We do not want to go on.

Why so cast down, oh my soul? Jesus said to look up. When He died, He not only died for our salvation, but for every need we may have. He died for our salvation, our sickness, our depression, a place we can go to when we don’t feel like going on. He is our reason for living. He has many blessings, He wants to give us. He gives us a future and a hope for tomorrow. He is everything we need in our time of testing and our tribulations. There is nothing that can come against us that God will make it for our good and for our benefit. He is the answer to our every problem. All things work together for our good and for his purpose. Look Up!
