A Word About Life and Things

 Kingdom Of God

Many people have different ideas of what the Kingdom of God is and where it is located. Many people believe the Kingdom of God is in heaven. It is not. The Kingdom of God is where we are. It is in those who have given Jesus their lives and their hearts. We are the Kingdom of God. When Jesus was on this earth, He was the Kingdom of God and He gave the Kingdom of God to whomever wanted it.

When Jesus said of the rich man that to get into heaven would be like a camel going through the eye of a needle. The eye of the needle is a man door in the larger gate for people to enter after the gate was closed for the night. The door was too small for the camel. The camel had to be unloaded and get on it痴 knees to crawl through the man door. It was difficult for the camel, but the camel could get through it.  He was not saying that the man could not get into heaven, He was saying that it was difficult, like a camel going through the eye of the needle. He was talking about the things that we put before God. We are not trusting God with the things we have. Some people think that riches are a curse and vow to live a life of poverty. Some people think that they need to do something like climb a staircase on their knees. They are counting on their works to get them into heaven.

We do many things thinking we can get into the Kingdom of God. Like the rich man depending on his riches, or the poor man thinking his poverty will save him, or the one that climbs a stairway on one痴 knees will save them and many other things. All of these are the works of the flesh. Our spirit is in a constant battle with the flesh. The flesh wants us to do things that make it comfortable or happy or it tries to bring our spirit down into the pit of depression. There is nothing we can do in the flesh that can save us. We are saved in the spiritual realm. The flesh goes along for the ride. There is only one thing that can save you, and that is to give your life to Jesus. Jesus is the only salvation that God requires for us to get to heaven. He is the advocate for us to the Father.
