A Word About Life and Things

 Surrounded

Elisha’s servant went out one morning and saw the city had been surrounded by the enemy. So Elisha answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Elisha asked God to open his servant’s eyes. Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

There was a young lady who was walking to her car after class late one night in a dark parking lot. All of a sudden 3 men stepped out from behind another car 50 feet in front of her. Her heart skipped a beat. She knew they were there to harm her. She wanted to run but did not have a chance. She stood there praying under her breath. As the men continued coming closer her mind was afraid but in her heart, she was in peace. Something told her everything was going to be OK. When the men got about 15 feet away, suddenly they froze in the tracks. Their eyes got real big, terroir came across their faces. They began to back up slowly. Carefully they turned and ran away as fast as they could. She knew that God had protected her, but she did not know what had happened. A few days later they arrested one of the men. He admitted that they were going to harm that lady, but when they got close to her, this mighty warrior suddenly appeared. He began to describe him. He was 10 feet tall. He began to tell how the warrior had very large muscles in his arms, chest, and legs. His face was radiating with so much light they could not look at him. He had a drawn sword and was standing over this lady. The lady only came up to his waist. He had a sword in one hand and a shield in the other hand. He stared at those men like he was saying “come on, make my day.”

There are angels protecting us in our everyday lives. If we need more help, God will send it. The enemy may surround us, but our God has the enemy surrounded. The enemy cannot stop what God is doing in our lives. We are surrounded by God’s love for us. He will come to our rescue and will let nothing happen to us. We just stand our ground and let God take care of us. We put our trust and hope in the Lord God almighty. He is with us in everything we do.

      New King James Version
2 Kings 6:15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"
16 So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.
