A Word About Life and Things

 Pressure

Job was a very rich man. He had 11,000 head of sheep, goats, oxen, and camels. He also had 10 kids. He lost everything in one day. He lost all his animals and the 10 kids at their brother’s house when a storm destroyed the house. He also had boils over his entire body. His wife was not much help, she told Job to curse God and die. He had a very bad day.

We have bad days also. We lose our spouse, we lose our job through no fault of our own, our car dies and we don’t have the money to fix it. Sometimes pressure comes from every side and we do not know what to do.

The Mariana Trench is located in the Western Pacific Ocean and is the deepest place on earth. The deepest part is 6.825 miles and is a lot deeper than Mount Everest is tall. The pressure at that depth is 15,750 pounds per square inch. There were at least 37 species found in the deep water of the trench. A new fish (Mariana Snailfish) dominated parts of the trench. The fish were small, translucent, and had no scales. They swam like any other fish and had no problems with the pressure of the Ocean that was over them.

God made the fish to not be crushed by the pressure of the Ocean. He also made us too stand up to the pressures we have around us. He said the pressure of life will not overtake us, but He will provide a way to escape. He made us to stand our ground and not give up on the pressure around us. We are stronger than we think. We can overcome the enemies that surround us by the word of the Lord.

      New King James Version
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
