A Word About Life and Things

 Good and Evil

There is good and evil in everything under the sun. Even in Heaven. Lucifer was the most beautiful angel that God had ever created. Lucifer was covered with many precious stones. Because of his beauty, he lifted himself up and sinned. God cast Lucifer out of heaven and one-third of the angels went with him.

God has given everyone, mankind, and Angels, a freewill. We are free to do what we want. We can choose good or we can choose evil. God said that He sets before us life and death, blessing and cursing. Then He said to choose life as if we did not know the answer.

From the early age of two, we put ourselves first. We think more of ourselves than others. In this world, approximately 80 percent of people have a negative attitude and 20 percent have a positive attitude. We lean more on the negative side of life. Our first instinct is to be negative. When we are asked to do something we have never done before, our first response is “I can’t do that.” Even if God asked us to do something we have never done before, we still say “I can’t do that.” We forget about the verse that says “I can do all things through Jesus who strengths me.” We can do anything that God asks us to do. Without God, everything is impossible to do, but with God, we can do anything.

God will never make us do anything. We have to choose to do His will. When God asked Jonah no go to Nineveh, he went the opposite way. After spending three days in a fish. God asked him to go to Nineveh again. God does not make us do anything, but He sometimes asks us more than once. We still have to choose good or evil.

New King James Version - Ezekiel 28:14 "You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.

16 "By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.
17 "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.
