A Word About Life and Things

 Horses

         Mankind has always strived to become self-sufficient. At 2 years old we began to be independent. We want to do it ourselves, even though we don稚 have the ability, we still try.  By the time we are teenagers, we start to rebel. By the time we are 20 years old, we know it all. After 20 to 30 years of life, we realize that we can not do it alone.

      Where did they put their trust? When Israel did not ask God for His help, they were deceived and lost battles. God warned them to not trust in horses and chariots and to not rely on other nations. Other nations are men and not God. Their horses are flesh, and not spirit. I am the LORD and there is no other.

      Where do we put our trust? We put our trust in a lot of things. We have strength, and money and our knowledge has increased. We serve many carved images. We have a military that can send a missile to any target. We have put many things before God.

      The horse is prepared for battle. But deliverance is of the Lord. We don稚 use horses anymore for battle. But we still put our trust in other things and not God. Our deliverance is from God and not the things we have. We do our best to be independent, but God must be first in everything we do. No matter what we do in life we must put God first or we will not succeed. God said even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry and will deliver you. Everything we do must be done to our Lord. Even in our jobs, what we do is to the Lord. We all will be held accountable for the things we do in this life. So we give the Lord the glory and we submit everything we have and do to the Lord.

      New King James Version
Psalms 147:10 He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
 11 The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy.

Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry and will deliver you.

      New King James Version
Proverbs 21:31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But deliverance is of the LORD.

      New King James Version
Isaiah 45:5 カ I am the LORD, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me,
 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting That there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other;

      New King James Version
Isaiah 31:1 カ Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Nor seek the LORD!
 2 Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster, And will not call back His words, But will arise against the house of evildoers, And against the help of those who work iniquity.
 3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out His hand, Both he who helps will fall, And he who is helped will fall down; They all will perish together.
