A Word About Life and Things

Beautiful

No matter how good-looking we are or how good our job is, we always want something more or different. Some women are brunettes and want to be blond. My daughter is a natural blond, but in the last 30 years, she has had more than 10 different colors of hair that are not blond. My granddaughter is also a natural blond but she dies her hair black. I once worked with a good-looking woman that was a brunette and she bleached her hair blond. I thought that she looked a lot better as a brunette.  Some women use too much makeup and some women use too little.

Men are a little different from women. While in their 20’s they have a lot of hair. Later in life, when they start losing hair. they start with the comb-over or they get a toupee, and some shave everything off and go bald. We are not satisfied with what we have so we go after other things.

Lucifer was one of the best-looking angels in heaven but he lifted himself up before God and thought he could become greater than God. He was the first sinner. We should look our best when we go out in public. But we should not lift ourselves up so that we think that we are better than anyone else. John said that “He must increase, but I must decrease.”

When we get older, our looks start to fade. What we are on the outside is not important. What we are on the inside, is the most important thing. We can be ugly on the outside but we can be beautiful on the inside. What we are before God is what makes us beautiful. God does not look at our outside He looks at our inside (our heart). He sees how beautiful we are when we get closer to Him in our spirit.
