A Word About Life and Things

The Bottom Line

Men and women are different. I know that may come as a shock to some people but it’s true. Time magazine once had that on the front cover in the 1990s. Children when they are young become different over time. The boys start playing with toy guns and cars. Girls start playing with dolls and making houses.

Men want the bottom line, the fewer details the better. Women want to hear all of the details: the more the better. When men get together they talk about sports, hunting, and cars. Women talk about kids, food, and gossip. There are five words that men never want to hear ‘honey we need to talk.’ Women like to talk about their feelings and men never ever want to talk about theirs. Men like to tough it out or walk it off, no matter how much it hurts. Men don’t like to cry and some women use crying to get their way. In short, men and women are different.

When God created man He made him male and female. I don’t know how that works. After Adam named all of the animals there was not found a companion for him. So God took a rib from Adam and also took the female part of him and created a woman. Men and women are different. Thank you, Lord. We are who we are because God made us that way.

What is the bottom line? It is God who made us and has a plan for our lives He knows everything about us. We need to just trust Him and let Him lead us the way that we need to go.

      New King James Version
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

      New King James Version
Genesis 2:21 Ά And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
